Faith Formation Behavior/Discipline/Wellness Policy and Procedure
The Religious Formation program desires to provide equal learning opportunity for all parish members—to grow in their faith, to acquire knowledge of the church and its tradition, and deepen their relationship with God. Appropriate behavior is expected of all students. Disruption or interference with the learning process or atmosphere within the religious formation program is not acceptable.
Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
All students are expected to dress and groom themselves neatly in clothes that are suitable for Faith Formation Program attendance. Shoes must be worn at all times.
Hats are not to be worn in the building, nor are sunglasses to be worn in the classroom. Clothing that advertises or displays alcoholic beverages, tobacco, illegal drugs and obscene sayings or gestures are not permitted. Any students wearing clothing which is inappropriate or creates a disturbance will be sent home to change to appropriate attire and the student’s parents will be notified.
During class time all cell phones are placed in a central basket. There is no cell phone access during class—“one hour for the Lord.” If there is an emergency and parents/guardians need to contact your student during class time, please call ______ and she will relay the message.
We can only be at optimum learning capacity when we are well. Please avoid exposing others if ill.
