I grew up in Wheatland, Wyoming and went to school at the University of Wyoming. I obtained a bachelors degree in elementary education and a minor in biology. After moving to Arizona to accept a teaching position I taught 6th grade for five years, 8th grade for 3 years and 5th grade for one year. I earned a Masters degree from Northern Arizona University and became an administrator in Bagdad, Arizona for five years. My wife and I moved to Wyoming in 2009 where I worked for the state a couple years, the catholic school for one year and the public schools for 2 years all as a teacher. Next I accepted a position as a principal in Lusk, Wyoming for 3 years after which we moved to Alliance.
